This workshop has been scheduled for TUESDAY November 24th, 2009 for 4:00pm-6:00pm or 4:30pm - 6:30pm. Time may vary depending on what our group decides. What is this workshop about:
- Professional resumes for our designated positions as teachers!
- In the corporate world there are various versions of resumes that we have all done, and this workshop is designed to encompass the high qualities that are found in the resume for the teaching professsion
- Discussion of related experiences are included in the resume
- A way for those of us to reconfigure our old resumes to something spanking new for our future careers
HOW MUCH? Potentially if 30 students sign up, this will cost you all about $5.00 instead of the regular price of $10.00!! BIG SAVINGS!!!!
If there are alot of people, we will still collect $5.00 and put it towards future spending for our site! (aka. pot lucks, formals etc.)

This workshop has been scheduled for TUESDAY January 12th, 2010 for 4:00pm - 6:00pm.

What is this workshop about (an overview):
- A binder/collection of advocating for you as a teacher!!!!!!
- It's BRINGING YOUR RESUME TO LIFE!!!
- A collection of various items that you may have and how they should be put together in a professional manner!
- Concrete hardcopy of demonstrations of conferences that you have attended
- Collection may include: References letters, artefacts, student work that you have created, lesson plans created by you, rubric created by you etc.

What is OFSAA??? COACHING IN ONTARIO SCHOOLS is a program developed by OFSAA (Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations) to give teacher-coaches and community volunteers the special skill-set that they need to coach effectively in the school environment. This seven-hour course combines information needed by coaches of beginning to intermediate athletes (similar to the former Level One NCCP Theory) with what they specifically need to work with athletes in the school environment, including OFSAA rules, how to work with your school and Board administrations, etc. Sign ups begin: Monday November 16th, 2009 @ 1pm in the FESA office (116 Winters College) OR Site Reps: Please email Employment-directors@edu.yorku.ca 1 name per day per site...*Please include students name, email and phone number in your email. Don't miss out on this great workshop!

Dear ladies and gents; I went to Winters today to register for the Tribes workshop and the guy said I didn't have to pay the cash until the first day of the workshop (Nov. 8th). So when you go to Winters to register you don't need to carry the cash there, just thought you should know. Anyone else interested in going? It is an expense but I want a job when I graduate and thought this would be a good thing on a resume even if it eats up my money and four weekends...
